The DOGs want to destroy the world. The gods want to make a new one. The trick is to survive both.

The world at the end of the 21st century is on the brink of ecological collapse, destroyed by corrupt politics and unchecked environmental damage. Hydroponics agronomist Char Meadowlark has become a recluse. Warned about an impending attack by the eco-terrorist Defenders of Gaia, Char flees to the airport.

When the DOGs strike in the midst of Char's escape, pilot Jake Ardri offers her only hope of survival. They take his shuttle the Space Junque to the orbiting Imperial Space Station, the off-planet seat of world government.

When the conflict goes global and the planet threatens to implode, ancient gods return to take control of humanity and impose a new world order. Char is caught up in a divine plan to save the world - but it will take all she's got to get through the apocalypse alive.

Space Junque is a fun, smart read, and I really think people will enjoy it. I hesitate to make comparisons, but I think it has a bit of a Firefly vibe to it. -- Anne Frasier

Don't get excited." Jake lifted Char's necklace over her head. "I'm not going for your precious parts." He zipped the amulet into a pocket in her flight pants. "Okay, Meadowlark." He secured his harness and punched the ignition. "Let's get the hell off this rock."

It is the first book in a series, with the second book due out in 2012.
It's nearly 130,000 words. Great value for money.

THE STORY
Jump to a few hundred years from now…

Earth is a faded galactic power in a violent galaxy. Blamed for an event 200 years earlier that destroyed thousands of worlds and turned the galaxy upside-down, Earth has been shunned by galactic society ever since.

Now they have a chance to turn that around.

Meanwhile in the outer fringes of the galaxy, a powerful new force is emerging from the ashes. Ruthless and unstoppable, this colossal army is approaching the central planets with one aim – to cleanse the entire galaxy.

Rone Tintet is one of Earth’s immense army of space-faring investigators. She discovers an artefact that may reveal what really happened 200 years ago and resurrect Earth’s fortunes. She embarks on a journey that takes her half-way across the galaxy but will there be anything left when she returns?

In Convergent Space these two stories - one in the past, one happening right now - intertwine into a dramatic and unexpected finale.

A science fiction romance spoof. Length: Novella, 26,000 words.

Reviews:

"Reminiscent of the old Star Trek, this is a story of what those episodes would have been if they were on cable. Vaish and McNeill are true to their characters and Vaish's dead-pan sense of humor makes the story. If you're a Trekkie, or even a closet Trekkie, this is the story for you." - Tina Burns, Road to Romance

"...A fun, sexy story that while campy and making many cultural references, I found very enjoyable." - Cynthia M. Eckert, ParaNormal Romance Reviews

Space Turbulence - a science fiction murder mystery (The Kolian Chronicles #1)
by: Alex Le Soum
published: 2011-05-15
ASIN: B00513NC9M

Murder, romance, heartbreak and intrigue - trapped on a spaceship lightyears from anywhere. Fourteen people, one murderer - it's going to be one hell of a ride.

The Kolian Chronicles #1 - Space Turbulence

Meet Hammer Mehran, space captain, smuggler, serial womanizer and all round bad boy. Not the ideal person to turn to if you're trying to hold onto your virtue and reputation.

But if your life's in danger he's got your back. And if you're a pretty young woman your front, your legs and all the other interesting bits in between.

Then Mysior stumbles into his life - beautiful, vulnerable and with an air of mystery he can't quite put his finger on, and he finds his allergy to commitment waning.

But the blossoming romance is cut short by a brutal murder. Neither of them know the first thing about murder investigation. The only thing they do know is they were together when it happened and they didn't do it.

If they don't solve the murder before they hit port, the authorities will be swarming all over the ship. With a hold stuffed with illegal goods, Hammer isn't keen on that idea. But he wants revenge and he wants Mysior to help him.

They have five days. They have twelve suspects. All they have to do is stay alive, eliminate suspects and try not to let their romance distract them. And resolve the strange case of suspected gravy molestation along the way.

If you like your heroes with a wicked side, your plots with a twist and safe story lines jettisoned out the waste chute somewhere around the Orion Nebula, then check out the 12,000 word free sample.

The novel is a self-contained murder mystery which can be read as the introduction to the Kolian Chronicles or a stand-alone story.

Contains strong language and adult content.

The Kolian Chronicles - an epic sci-fi adventure.

This is a "tell it like it is" series where you delve into the lives of the characters warts and all - the good, the bad, the steamy, the embarrassing. The books are infused with a lot of humour, but there are also some hard hitting scenes as the story progresses.

Please note the series is an adults only satirical comedy, including strong language throughout and some non-graphic scenes of violence, torture, drug use, prostitution and sexual scenes including MF, MFF and FF. A wide number of social themes are dealt with in the overall story arc, many of which are of an adult nature.

The series is set in a fictional society which is hovering on the verge of social reform. As the wider story arc develops you are taken through the changes as they unfold on both a macro and micro level. Because of this, you may find some of initial opinions expressed by the characters out of line with 21st century views.

Journey to the Heart of Luna:

The year is 1889, and mankind is out among the stars.

For almost three decades man has explored the Inner Planets, but still they seem to be very uninterested in what’s on their doorstep. Namely, the Earth’s moon – Luna! Two men, however, have shown unprecedented interest in Luna; crazed Russian scientist, Vladimir Tereshkov, and American inventor Doctor Cyrus Grant. Problem is, both men have gone missing.

A distress call is received from Luna, sent by Dr Grant’s niece, Miss Annabelle Somerset. The British Government has been waiting for an excuse to mount a mission to Luna, to investigate the Russian interest in that rock, and so they launch the new aether battleship, HMAS Sovereign, and enlist the assistance of scientist Nathanial Stone, friend and ex-colleague of Dr Grant.

Reluctantly Stone agrees; but the mission presents him with many more challenges than he could ever have expected. What truth is there to the rumours of the moon men, the supposed natives of Luna, and what is the secret of the ‘glow’? Answers to these and many other questions can only be found by journeying to the heart of Luna itself...

published: 2010-12-01
ASIN: B004EPYUXA
It is the distant future and one man, Jonas Valent, is letting his life slip by. He is employed by Freeground station as a port traffic controller, a job he took after completing a tour in the military. His only real joy in life is his participation in true-to-life military simulations with a cadre of friends who come together regularly to defeat challenges made to test the brightest military cadets and officers alike. These restricted scenarios stand as an addictive preoccupation that is so enticing that they ignore the potential repercussions of breaking in to participate.

When someone betrays their identities to the Freeground Fleet Admiralty, Jonas and his friends are faced with a far greater challenge: to venture out into the more populated regions of the galaxy to acquire technology and knowledge. They are tasked with laying the groundwork for the Freeground Nation in their efforts to reconnect with the rest of humanity, and to secure the armaments they might need to defend themselves from encroaching enemies.

Spinward Fringe Broadcast 0: Origins is a collected trilogy that chronicles the early adventures of an ambitious crew. Their leader, Jonas Valent, has the least to lose and everything to gain as he tells the tale of his first tour as Captain of a ship tasked with making allies and discovering new technologies for the good of his people. This simple mission becomes more complicated as the crew ventures further into the settled fringes of the galaxy.

This trilogy spawned the best selling Spinward Fringe eBook series. This is where it all began, when one man was challenged to aspire for more than an idle life.

A Space Opera Adventure enjoyed across the globe by all ages.
